Masters Cross
What was the importance of this Man where we celebrate His birth and His death and resurrection every year.
He called the multitude to himself with his disciples, and said to them, Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. Mark 8:34
I used to think that everyone goes to heaven The cross spoken of here is anything that we suffer for the cause of Christ. We have to die to our own lusts and selfishness, and embrace God’s will above our own. A true overcoming disciple will embrace the cross as his source of life and follow the Master who died for our sins , laying His natural life down voluntarily.
Many people will make a commitment but the transformation comes when you meet Jesus . Those who seek out and cry from their heart to know the living , eternal God.
Its a great honour to be called a son of the Living God through His Son Jesus the Messiah, HE has taken my life from zero to being able to go into the very Inner Sanctum of God. One day all the sons of the Living God will be revealed and our natural bodies shed for the glorious.
Above all God loves you very much, with an unmeasurable love, He knows you better than anyone else, even yourself, He knows your form even from the womb, when you were being formed, He wants you to come to Him and know Him, so that He can breathe His Life into you.
The Love of God the Father is central to everything it is foreign to the World we live in as we live in a unclean world which is degrading day by day. God is absolute Purity and Holiness, things we don’t understand. Love that drove Jesus to leave His Glory in Heaven and die a sinners death on a terrifying cross at the hands of ungodly men, that is unselfish love, To think of others more than yourself. We are born into sin through Adams fall from grace or original sin. We deserve to be sent to everlasting Hell or torment, but God’s love for us intervened and Jesus died in our place so that that we could attain the mercy that God wants to give us through identifying with Jesus. Sin could not hold Him in the grave however because He was found to be Righteous and was raised form the Dead.
The new birth is called being born-again or born from on High. When you really do get born-again , your spirit man inside you is renewed and the old one is gone. When Adam and Eve rebelled against God their spirit man died and they were cut off from God’s life and their spirit man withered and came under the father of lies , the devil. Thats why Jesus came to bring us back to God and renew the fellowship that Adam once had, because He loves us more than we realise, you can only truly experience the Love of God after being born-again.You see when God created us He made is a tri-partate person, being spirit, soul and body. So when you get born-again one part of you is renewed, it is free but you no longer belong to yourself like the unbelievers, who do what they want, you have being bought at a great cost and God expects you serve Him with all your strength and avoid sin like the plague. We all sin at times but generally not on purpose and now we can get forgiveness from our sins with the Father. God has not left us alone but has sent God the Holy Spirit to live in us to help us in our weaknesses.
If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. - Romans 10 : 9-10
Now there was a certain man among the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler (member of the Sanhedrin) among the Jews, 2 who came to Jesus at night and said to Him, “Rabbi (Teacher), we know [without any doubt] that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs [these wonders, these attesting miracles] that You do unless God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered him, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a person is born again [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified], he cannot [ever] see and experience the kingdom of God.”
4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born, can he?” 5 Jesus answered, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh [the physical is merely physical], and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not be surprised that I have told you, ‘You must be born again [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified].’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it is coming from and where it is going; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
9 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can these things be possible?” 10 Jesus replied, “You are the [great and well-known] teacher of Israel, and yet you do not know nor understand these things [from Scripture]? 11 I assure you and most solemnly say to you, we speak only of what we [absolutely] know and testify about what we have [actually] seen [as eyewitnesses]; and [still] you [reject our evidence and] do not accept our testimony. 12 If I told you earthly things [that is, things that happen right here on earth] and you do not believe, how will you believe and trust Me if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one has gone up into heaven, but there is One who came down from heaven, the Son of Man [Himself—whose home is in heaven]. 14 Just as Moses lifted up the [bronze] serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross], 15 so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life [after physical death, and will actually live forever].
